Celtic Singing

Sunday 29 January

Come enjoy making Irish, Scottish and English traditional music with us (mostly songs and ballads)!  

Some instruments are provided, as well as sheet music so you can sing or/and play along.


We meet every month, usually on the last Sunday.

Sunday Evening Online Club nights

Every second Sunday

To allow far flung members to continue to meet, we have Online Club nights.   

The next meeting will be Sunday 5 February, at 19:00. 

We usually meet every second Sunday, but the schedule might change, so check back here, or send an email, to find out when the future meetings will be.

After an appetite stimulating walk, we will come back to the club and warm up with Kohl und Pinkel.

Coffee and cake

Sunday 19 February

Our next coffee/tea/cake afternoon will take place on Sunday 19 February at 3 pm.

If you plan to attend let us know at, so we have enough for everyone. Donations of cakes are welcome as well!

There will be a 1€ charge per piece of cake.  

The next Coffee and Cake will be 12 March, and the one after that, on 16 April.

Online Book Club

Every six weeks or so

The English Book Club gathers together to discuss a book, or poems, or something else literary. Old and new participants are welcome to join us.

The next meeting will be Sunday 26 February at 18:00.  We will be reading Toni Morrison's Beloved.

Saint Patrick's Day party

Friday 17 March

We would like to invite you to our Saint Patrick's Day on Friday 17 March at 8 pm in the club's rooms.

There will be Irish Flags, an Irish quiz and of course Irish music!

We hope for a large number of participants :-)

Excursion to High Tea

The English Club is planning to head out for high tea in March. If you would like to join us, please email a soon as possible so that we can book a large enough table.

Romantic Walk through Battlement Park

Marianne continues to walk and talk you through the picturesque Battlement Park. We will explore many natural and cultural features and monuments of Bremen’s oldest park, the stunning inner-city oasis called Wallanlagen.


Meeting point: 

At the entrance of the Kunsthalle (Am Wall 207) 


The whole leisurely stroll will take approx. 1 - 2 hours and is for free. Donations for the English Club appreciated.

1920s Party

We had planned to have a 20s party at the Club to mark the start of the 2020s. Unfortunately 2020 wasn't a good year for parties. But it is still on the agenda, as soon as we can. Watch this space for updates.
