History of the English Club

Lis Liesicke in 1988

The English Club in Bremen was founded in 1987 by an English teacher (Lis Liesicke née Poulter) and one of her students (Christian Kunz). It started off by a few people meeting in a pub called the Rover's Return in Bremen-Walle.
On the 1st May 1992 the English Club became an e. V. (registered association).

Today it has grown into a thriving lively club with more than 90 members of all ages, backgrounds and a variety of nationalities.
