I’m really pleased to welcome you to our Club website and very excited about the new design! I hope you’ll have a look around and find it as good as I do.
The English Club offers a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere in which to meet and speak English – that is basically our only rule!
All nationalities are welcome and there is absolutely no limit to age or background, you just need a reasonable level of English. Native speakers are especially welcome. |
If like me (before I joined) you think that you don’t need somewhere in particular to speak English, well just call in anyway and find out what we have to offer - check out the events section.
The Club is run by the members for the members and we vote in a committee every year.
This means that each member has a direct say in how the Club is run. Naturally we want as many members to be involved in running the Club as possible, such as organizing an event, doing bar duty or even running for the Committee.
I hope that you’ll call into the Club soon and see for yourself what is on offer, come have a drink and a chat. I try to be there as often as possible, so you’ll know at least one persons’ face when you come in!
